Adam’s Top Ten of 2012

[tps_title]2. The Perks of Being a Wallflower: [/tps_title]This film came out of nowhere and immediately became one of my favorites of all time. Stephen Chbosky directs this adaptation of his own novel of the same name, and captures the journey of an introverted young loner who falls in with a group of misfits, forming a familial bond with all of them. This isn’t the usual high school coming-of-age tale. Chbosky wisely steers clear of false sentiment and opts for brutal, bittersweet honesty instead. You shouldn’t miss it. It is glorious.
