Various publications are reporting that as much as 10% of EA’s workforce has been cut. PopCap Vancouver and Quicklime have been shut down completely. Apparently, these layoffs are part of restructuring efforts on the part of the company. Around 9,000 people work for EA and, unfortunately, it seems that there will be more layoffs in the near future.
We’ll provide an update regarding which studios will be affected as soon we have it.
