Final Man of Steel Trailer Promises High Stakes

We’re all aware that Zack Snyder has a Superman movie called Man of Steel coming out in a few weeks. That’s no surprise. However, in the last few trailers for the $200 million blockbuster, we’ve seen some powerfully emotional moments. Of course, we can always expect a little emotion in a large-scale action movie. The stakes have to be high. But we’ve never seen such operatic displays of heroism and rage in a Superman movie.

The closest we ever got was in that first movie, when Superman realizes Lois Lane has been killed in Luthor’s earthquake.

It’s a short moment. One that’s not really repeated again in the series.

But shouldn’t a movie about a demi-god fighting for his place on our planet be as operatic as possible?

Zack Snyder must think so, as the new trailer shows off the drama of it all. And it looks good. Really good.

  • Pretty amazing. The best moments in the superman franchise were always when Christopher reeve was allowed to show emotions and be real. The boyscout stuff got old. I’m glad the goofy suit and goofy moments are gone with the Superman franchise. Keep it real!
