Star Wars will never die. It’s been a constantly growing, living force since 1977 that has shown no signs up stopping. Any time Star Wars appears to be drifting from the public forethought, you can expect to see a new box set collecting all of the films, or news hinting at the future of the franchise, or even the release of a brand new animated series. Within the past year and a half we have seen the entire saga remastered and released in a nine disc Blu-ray set, discovered that the juggernaut known as Disney has bought Star Wars from George Lucas, and been informed that superstar director J.J. Abrams will be directing the highly anticipated Episode VII! I’ll say it again, Star Wars will never die.
If you haven’t already geeked yourself out, then brace yourself for this. Dark Horse comics has started a brand new ongoing comic book series simply entitled Star Wars by all-star writer, Brian Woods! The first six issues of this epic series have been wildly successful, and now that the first major story arc has come to an end, I’m here to tell you why!
Most people call me JJ. I’m 23 and currently working as a freelance web-designer as I finish up my schooling. I’m a huge comic book fan and I have an immense appreciation for the medium. I can’t believe that one of my multiple jobs involves reading and writing about comic books. I hope that, not only can my readers learn something from me, but that I can learn something from them as well.
