It is estimated that 30-60% of all married individuals in the U.S. will engage in infidelity at some point during their marriage. The documentary discusses the proliferation of infidelity scandals with public figures in sports, politics and entertainment, as well as on popular TV shows like Scandal.

Extra-marital affairs are a concept that dates back to Biblical days. However, with the sudden explosion, acceptance and exploitation of “side pieces” are we saying that this is now the new norm? With top television shows such as ScandalBeing Mary Jane and Mistresses, the idea of a side piece has turned from shameful to flattering. Secret lovers are blackmailing for money, fame and power. Side chicks are becoming wives and the institution of marriage is slowly crumbling. Is there a science behind the challenges of monogamy?
